About

Pennant is a brand deeply rooted in the personal journey of its founder, Josh Aronow, who was diagnosed with learning differences at a young age—including ADHD and a Language Processing Delay. These early challenges became the catalyst for a brand committed to transforming how society views learning differences, emphasizing that these very differences are what set individuals apart in extraordinary ways.

Pennant's mission is to raise awareness, provide valuable educational resources, and celebrate the unique strengths that come from navigating learning differences.

What does Pennant Mean?

The name Pennant draws from the classic symbol of collegiate pride, often waved to commemorate victories and milestones, but here the flag doesn’t just represent championships or GPA scores, it represents resilience, creativity, and individuality. It’s a banner for students who have had to fight to be understood, and who continue to show up, push forward, and redefine what success looks like.

Being a licensed brand at Indiana University, the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, Penn State University, and the University of Maryland allows us not only to create products that are truly different by design, but to give back in an equally meaningful way — partnering with each university’s accessible educational services to support resources that help students with learning differences thrive.
